I'm not horribly surprised -- I've been reading a few different articles which suggest that Palin's explanation for why she fired Monegan has repeatedly changed over time. If she were telling the truth, wouldn't there be one major explanation for it, rather than several that change over time?
I'm getting the distinct impression that everything we're now learning about Palin is only the tip of the iceberg-- that there's tons left to be discovered, and that there may very well be a "bombshell" waiting to explode. For example, apparently the hacked emails were NOT as boring as originally thought -- amongst the titles of some of the emails were the following: “FW: Motor Fuel Tax Suspension”, “FW: CONFIDENTIAL Ethics Matter”, “Draft letter to Governor Schwarzenegger / Container Tax”, “RE: Using Royalty Oil to Lower the Cost of Fuel for Alaskans”, “Court of Appeals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appellate_court / Executive Director Parole Board / Boards and Commissions” and “FW: DPS Personnel and Budget Issues”. “DPS” is the acronym for the Alaska Department of Public Safety, who supervise the Alaskan state troopers.
