I love oak tables and I can do one better on this 
A few months ago, someone advertised a dining table & 5 chairs on Freecycle. I responded. They sent pics. Looked to be a beautiful round oak table with 2 leaves & 5 matching chairs. Turned out that all are solid oak (definitely no veneer) from Pennsylvania House (from back when they were made in the US). Beautiful condition except for some minor scratches on one part of the top. My dad, who does a lot of woodworking, took a look at it and said that all it needs is to have the top sanded and refinished. Even without doing so, it still looks great.
Needless to say, I thanked the offeror profusely.
PS. Almost forgot - congrats on the find. Solid wood at an affordable price is always a good thing!
