Jay Leno To Stay With NBC - New Show Will Be In Prime Time

I agree that Letterman has gotten very, very tired. At least Leno doesn't have that stench of "used to be cool but now I am just tedious" on him, since he was never cool to begin with. Conan is a broken record, too. These guys get into giant ruts and there they stay.

However, since I don't have cable, don't like continuous dramas, and can't stand cop shows, I'd as soon watch Leno as anything should I have some sudden need to watch TV at ten o'clock.

Certainly Letterman ain't what he used to be, but he's still a far sight better than Leno. The thing that bugs me most about Leno: He has no faith in his audience. For half the jokes in his monologue he is compelled to repeat the punch line at least once, as if he believes his audience didn't get it the first time or he thinks it gets funnier the more times you tell it.
