After a long, windy and rather frustrating weekend...
Here is a picture with the truss rafters in place...
Saturday morning, I was up in the trusses setting the spacing and fell from about 10' down to the concrete floor. Rafters were wet and I lost my footing. I hit my arm very hard coming down. I think I must have reached out to grab the bottom of the truss before hitting the floor. Forearm was completely black and blue. A cardboard box broke my fall or I'm pretty certain I would have broke my leg.
I sat there kind of dazed for a few minutes before I brushed myself off and went right back up in the rafters.
As of Wednesday evening we are at this point (had to take a few days off to get some paying work finished):
Roof sheathing is nailed down. It started to rain at dark on Wednesday and hasn't stopped yet. I should have got the tar paper down but I was told that the rain wouldn't hurt the sheathing.
Tomorrow, I have to work on the ridge boards on the gable ends, trim up the roof sheathing, and then start prepping the roof to put down the shingles.
I used to do construction for a living about a lifetime ago. Obviously, a lot younger and dumber. Shook the pain off quickly back then. Now, I need a day or two to recover from a long weekend.
