I've heard a few pro and con arguments for her - some sentimental and some practical
Short list pro's - She will have to run for reelection in a short time and the Kennedy's can surely raise the cash
thus taking the pressure off of the DNC to support the seat financially. She is female and would
be replacing a seat vacated by a female (although she did not support Hillary as a candidate - that one goes in the minus for some)
Sentimental - seat once held by her uncle Bobby and she would be serving in the senate with her uncle Ted
(most likely to be his last hurrah)
Short list of possible con's - the "didn't support Hillary thing", is from NYC and some would like to see someone
that is from upstate. Additionally the question as to whether she is tough enough. Seems well regarded in terms
of her intellect (written & edited books) and holds a law degree - but the senate ain't softball
and she has not served in an elected office.
I say it's up to NY state to decide who can best represent them.
