Environmental activist gives new meaning to "working within the system"

We have a single highway running north and south through the county. It is the main (6 lane) thoroughfare. Malls, strip malls, 40+ traffic lights in a 20 mile stretch, lots of 18 wheel traffic and in general a real mess. We need a by-pass disparately.

So, your community does a crappy job with planning, generally let the developers have free rein to build whatever wherever with apparently no public input, and now you complain about the mess and want to fix it by building a road through the middle of a state park. Typical bonehead short sighted conservative rationale. Fix your own mess and leave the public commons alone.
