Thanks to all.
I made it to a best Buy tonight to look for myself (managed to talk the sales-critters into not turning the sets off while I was looking at them).
Yeah, some swivel but it seems that none pivot.
They managed to not have any 32" models on display that were 1080p, but there was a 37" (A Samsung I think) and the picture was definitely impressive compared to the 720s. I have a few reasons for wanting the clearer resolution even though I agree the difference would be barely noticeable in everyday use.
32" is very clearly the right size, no question.
Probably one of my all time worst transit experiences tonight-- I was outside waiting for over 2 hours for one hour of shopping. Probably would have been the all time worst except I was dressed more appropriately for the cold than past times.
