A true convertibleista, you are, davester. There is something so sweet about driving with the top down, windows up and the heater blowing away. I must say I haven't taken the top down on my Miata in the snow, living in the deep south and all, but a nice crisp fall day can be heaven.
Your car looks a lot redder in that last shot. I used to have a 1980 Toyota Celica that was about that color. A dealer in Chattanooga, Tennessee had converted 499 hardtops to convertibles. He had to stay under 500 so that he didn't have to do crash tests and such. That was my first convertible. It was replaced by the Miata that I still have.
