The Finder burns hybrid Mac/PC volumes.
Make a new Burn Folder in the Finder. (File : New Burn Folder) Give the folder a descriptive name.
Drag your jpegs onto the burn folder's icon. It will put alias files for each of your jpegs into the burn folder. (Don't worry that they're alias files.)
Double click its icon to open the Burn Folder's window, make sure that the media you're using (CD-R/DVD -R, etc.) meets the minimum size (capacity) noted at the bottom of the window and click the "Burn" button.
When you're done, trash the Burn Folder. Since it only contains alias files, your originals will be safe.
