Come on people, the thing that tipped it off IMMEDIATELY for me was that there were cords coming out of the back, where all of the ports on a MBP are on the side.
I would NEVER buy a used Dell laptop that was out of warranty; my wife uses a Dell, just like this one, that after 4 years it just would not boot, even with a brand new hard drive. The diagnosis was that the motherboard had failed and the cost for repair was over $500. She did not have to worry about that, as her company replaced the one she uses, but if you are using a PC laptop for emailing/word/excel/powerpoint, you can get an adequate one, under warranty, for $700. This is not a mac/pc discussion, but simple economics for small business purchases that are tied to the windows platform.
