My iPod Touch is the only real luxury item I seem to carry when out and about. Although I view it as a tool more than a luxury. (same with cell phone)
I don't understand the purpose of luxury items at all. If I need something, I'll buy it, but I'm always looking for the best bang for my buck.
A bic pen or pencil will get my work done just as easily as an expensive writing tool costing much more. Jewelry? Expensive clothes? Blech. Used to wear it when I was young, but now I can't stand wearing the bling bling.
