Bring vs take grammar
#19
Dude...you don't even UNDERSTAND how much I hate the bring/take mistake. When I was in high school, the middle school letterboard across the street once said, "Remember to bring home your report cards this week". I was completely in shock that a school would make such a huge mistake and tried explaining it to other kids on the bus but they didn't get it. It still bothers the living hell out of me to this day.

Yeah, and that itch/scratch thing is bullsh*t. How in the world does that grammatical error happen?

Ahh, the usage police. Who cares unless they get it wrong on a paper.

It means a lot because if they ever start to get lazy, the correct grammar is the first to go. Read 1984 or Farenheit 451? When society goes downward, it's usually because the language has deteriorated from laziness. Language is a set of rules that everyone maintains besides basic "do not steal, kill, etc" rules. If you don't respect premises as simple as "Ain't", it can start to show lack of care for other aspects of life. How many times have you been in McDonald's listening to the workers and realize they're in that socio-economic class and will probably never rise above it just because of language. Speaking properly makes a HUGE difference.
