My absolute favorite clothing stain remover is a product called Tech, sold in hardware stores and some fabric stores. Here it is at Amazon too:

At first it seems really pricey. But after seeing how well it worked, I bought a gallon. Also great on carpets.
Usually I wet the stain with it (don't pour too liberally...just enough to wet it), rub the stain, let it set about 15-20 minutes, then wash. Check your results BEFORE putting the garment in the dryer, and do it again if necessary. Good luck!
