Just heard that death threats agains Sarah Palin are at an all time high.

Nut cases come in all flavors. The history of studying assassins in the United States shows that most are only tangentially associated with political extremism, outside their own minds. Some might have liked to be a spokesperson for some political goal, but only a very few were actually involved and directed by anything other than their own psychosis.

Death threats against Palin = OMG! THOSE AWFUL LEFTISTS!

Any threat against these folks should be taken seriously, yet most of these stories, when it affect the right, ONLY THEN it is news. The way that some frame stories, it is only them that are ever the victims.

That's been my exact thought every time I've heard this.
Will gladly admit I was wrong when I see proof, but this sounds like a typically unsophisticated ploy to keep the librul-demonization drumbeat going.
