Ordering a new tripod: Black or titanium finish?
#11
That Slik is a pretty decent one. I like how tall it will go, and that it has a 2 piece center column. If you can reverse the center column, and hang the camera almost on the ground like my old school Bogen 3021, you will be set.

All thing equal I'd take the black one so it's not so visible when you shoot something reflective (like a macbook pro)

Black, hard finish, won't show in reflections.

I've used a Leitz Tiltall since the early 80's. It's been replaced twice - both times due to theft. Very well constructed as I was using it professionally. You used to even be able to unscrew a leg, attach the head and have a monopod (not sure if that is still offered as my current one was purchased around 1999).

Same price point as the Slik and better made IMHO.

It even has it's own dedicated website -- http://tiltallsupport.blogspot.com/p/til...pport.html
