We lost our 10' arborvitae shrubs in the back yard. One toppled over by the root ball. 2 snapped. And 1 was bent all of wack. They must've been back there for decades. Wiped out by the one 1-2 punch of Sandy and the Nor'easter Sad It's gonna cost us a bundle to replace them with something close to the size of those guys.

From what I've read, arbovitae can grow up to 1 ft per year. I planted 16 four feet tall arborvitae. I can't wait till they grow up!
