to be fair, CVS banned tobacco sales, so they try hard to suggest they care about the health of their customers.

The government makes more money off the sale of a pack of smokes than they do, so why bother selling them?

Plus, they can claim to be the "good guys"...
They made money off of people buying cigarettes. Once you're in the door, you're likely to buy more. We can give them credit.

Well shoot. Thanks for the clarity. I read about the rival network but didn't realize CVS was in it.

Which is why I'll go to the different NFC blockers, try to pay and when blocked, I'll leave everything and say I'll just get it at Walgreens, etc..

Word will filter up if enough people do that.

Word.

To be fair, somebody might. Once. Maybe twice, even.

This is an Apple product/service we're talking about and I seriously doubt there would be enough doing this to cause even a noticeable ripple in the great stream of things.

Bur can you imagine fifty people a day walking in, shopping and walking out leaving their carts at the counter. They may thinks it's a movement.

I do rather enjoy going into a store, finding some item marked for sale, taking it to the counter, and walking out without the item or my entire order when they require one of those loyalty cards. But I don't feel I'm influence enough to matter. I always use the same excuse, though - "I don't have enough money and I don't want to supply my personal information."
