There was another story locally about an investigation of a laser pointed at a Coast Guard plane in Sacramento and it turns out it was an accidental side effect of an elaborate home Christmas decoration

Ugh...watch those knuckle heads in ISIS pick up on this thread. I'm sure they will want to blind pilots as they land.

That's already been tried on US military aircraft, so that flying kitten has been out of the bag.
