Those stores are leaky... very chilly in the winter, poorly insulated. I expect that's their saving grace. But yeah... cheap chinese cosmoline knockoff is.. bleah.

Ever smell a freshly opened case of their rubber anti-fatigue floor mats? Confusedmiley-laughing001: (that's not laughter, it's a seizure)

I found febreeze did not get rid of a funky smell in a vehicle. It actually made the smell worse. I ended up spending $75 on an ozone generator and that took care of the smell.

Or you could have taken a shower.

My opinion is that febreeze . Is more toxic than the odors it tries to get rid of.

A couple weeks ago, I got a new old car (99 Altima). The previous owners must have smoked like chimneys, I was about ready to gag by the time I got home. The next day, I went to the store and found some Pet Odor carpet spray in the bargain aisle, for $1.00, I figured I might as well try it. Sprayed down the interior with the entire can, in a couple days, it was much better. This probably won't help your dresser, but I thought I'd mention it for PSA.

The dresser was bought from Raymour & Flanigan. I think it said Made in Vietnam on the back, or so I was told. I wasn't home when they made delivery and I am too lazy to move it to check. It is located in a walk-in closet in kids bedroom. We try to leave doors and drawers open to get fresh air during the day.

I don;t have a garage. If the weather were better, I could at least take the drawers outside during the day, but now it snowed, it may rain and it is cold anyway, I don't want the wood to crack or something from the cold.

I guess we'll just keep windows open and may consider moving the kids to a different room for a few days.

she's out shopping now, hope she gets a few packs of baking soda, and will see if those help.

I hope you got a STEEP discount. Once that stench gets in the seat foam and inside the ductwork and behind the dash. Its there for life.
