I made $12,000 this morning.

What the heck is going on?

it's up 3.5%, so that means you own about 350K worth of stock
...that started as 8K in an IRA in the late 90s, back when we were all trying to support Leader.

You've been handsomely rewarded for your unwavering support.

Back in the day, I couldn't buy Apple stock because I was blinded by my love for their products despite a lukewarm public reception. Now they do through the roof and I'm indifferent.

I'm still doing okay though.

Oh, I bought one share at some point years ago. I've earned a couple of dollars but not much more.

Reminds me; I need to send an exploding alligator package to my financial guy, who talked me out of putting twice what I did into AAPL back at $92/share about 5 years back.

I probably had this guy's father back in 1987 when I wanted to buy MSFT stock in my retirement account, but was told it was "too risky".

My wife worked as an assistant at a hedge fund when I bought Tesla stock. She asked an analyst if he thought it was a good buy. He said it wasn't clear that Tesla had an advantage. The stock is likely wildly overvalued but it was clearly a good buy.

A couple years ago, I had pulled whatever I had in AAPL (and anything else I could spare) and put it all in TSLA. Mind you I didn’t expect to be at this price point so soon, but I knew it would eventually reach it and more.

I'm up just shy of $6k today for AAPL, about $350 for TSLA.

FYI: The 4-for-1 stock split is for every shareholder of record at the close of business on Monday, August 24. Monday will be a BIG day.
