must be a "Shall Issue" state. Meaning the state needs to prove you don't meet the requirements. "May Issue" means a state can say no, and you have to prove you aren't prohibited.

"Police Superintendent David Brown on Monday was back to lamenting, as he has in the past, that at least some of the shootings involved people he contends should not have been on the streets.

He pointed to a suspect in the shooting of six people, two of whom died. He said the person had seven felony arrests and at the time of the shooting and had been released from jail and placed on electronic monitoring after being charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Los Angeles County Sheriff has mismanaged the world's largest jail for so long that new incoming deputies under court order to abstain from previous egregious behaviors, have now attained retirement age.

The County is now under court order to shut down the 4800 (but in reality 10,000) inmate figures and dismantle the property. Neighbors from as far as 30 miles are freaking out over the prospect of released inmates (for the most part pre-trial detainees) invading their back yards.

The last two elected LA County Sheriffs have been convicted and the incumbent is only an indictment away from the same, NYC corruption has nothing on LA.

I agree that laws mean nothing to criminals. If they can’t get a firearm, they simply choose another convenient “weapon” (and I’ve got 30+ years as a LEO which confirms that gun laws simply don’ t work the way politicians say they will work).


The SECOND worst homicide in NY was accomplished via ONE GALLON of gasoline. Almost 100 dead. A jilted boyfriend firebombed an illegal social club in the Bronx.


How many anti-gunners would scream bloody murder if they had to jump through the hoops to buy gasoline that responsible gun owners have to jump through.
