Yeah, they do seem to making inferences that reflect more confidence than they should. But that doesn't mean that when taken with more data that this might bolster the confidence in the conclusion - or not.

I assumed it was hyperbolic but still, it's apparent that Delta is more easily transmissible than even the other (already more transmissible) variants.

Much of the explosion of cases in March-April in Michigan was credited to the UK variant.

LA County Health Dept today changed their stance, they now recommend everyone (vaccinated or not) return to wearing masks at ALL times indoors.

Here is the info about LA county. Sounds like good advice. And they stress that unvaccinated people are in danger.
