The Absolutely Stupidest Airline Freakout Of The Week

A musician friend of mine is an avid airplane nut. He's also black. a few years ago a woman on a flight reported concerns to the flight attendant because he was READING AND HAD IN HIS POSSESSION A NUMBER OF MAGAZINES ABOUT AIRPLANES.

Flight attendant had a conversation with my friend. He was cordial but when he realized what was going on he was not amused.

Probably this woman never saw a vintage camera before. Do we know how old she is?

Just for fun I am thinking to take a rotary dial phone with me sometime as carry on. I am curious what could happen. Nah, I don’t have time to waste.

As mentioned, or alluded to, that's unconscionable.

I'd expect as much from the TSA, glorified security guards.

I don't know the level of involvement of the FBI, but several hours detention denoted major incompetence.

Probably a case of:

'Ok, no probably cause for alarm, just some old cameras, but since he's here, let's go fishin' and maybe we'll get lucky and won't look like idiots'.

Apparently that plane has flown.
