I didn't know that about Mr Handsome. Yeah, that'll sink him, not that he's the best candidate anyway.

I'm at a loss, too. I agree on the southern thing.

Although born in Thailand, Duckworth is a natural-born citizen through her father's status as an American citizen. She is eligible to be President.

Unless he has a heart attack, a stroke or the yips, it'll be Biden.

I think it’s got to be a very smart candidate blessed with an appealing personality. Somebody with a sense of humor who knows how to use it to their advantage. Someone who breaks the mold of a typical long-faced democrat. Someone like Corey Booker.

I agree. It is up to him. I don't think any Dem will launch a primary challenge as long as Biden says he is running. And Harris will be his running mate unless she quits herself.

Obviously right now the focus needs to be on the midterms. If your Rep or Senator is vulnerable, get busy.

To hear his detractors, he's already had all three.

No. Her father was an American citizen, by a number of rulings that makes her a "natural born citizen". Now I am certain there are GOP elements who would try to make it an issue, but nothing legally prevents her from being President.

Whitmer is OK in my book.

And there are still not enough of them to matter. Republicans are challenged by all the nasty morons like DeSantis because all Democrats know exactly what they are.

While I like Biden and think his administration is doing a good job with the hand they've been dealt - I fully agree that the Dems should strongly consider alternatives. If Biden was reelected, the best we'd get is another four years of mostly stagnant government. Its more about the narrative and having the votes in congress to pass legislation.

Honestly, perhaps the best thing would be for Biden not to run. I have no idea how likely that would be.

Past that, I have no idea who would make a good candidate. In my eyes, they all would in comparison to the alternative.
