AAPL down big today, too.

My kids 529 account getting decimated. But hey, at least those three trans athletes can't play now!

Trump is pushing a “prosperity religion” scam.

Give up all your money now to the cause and I (God/Prophet) promise you lots of money in the future. If you aren’t rewarded with money, it’s your own fault for lack of faith.

I think the prosperity doctrine is just plain, “If you truly believe, you will prosper materially”. I don’t really think that describes Trump’s thing very well. For him it’s just that people expect quid pro quo, and he doesn’t do that. That’s just a natural human thing. When you do something for someone, there is a little bit of an expectation they return the favor. People who don’t expect anything in return are unusual.

I don’t want to be overly argumentative about this, but Trump is 100% quid pro quo.

At least, he wants payback (and then some) if he thinks he’s helped someone gain something (and in many cases, like Ukraine, even if he hasn’t).

Totally agreed. You scratch my back, I’ll screw you. I doubt he ever actually gives anyone anything first. Maybe a promise of something. Once he gets his, you’re not getting anything in return.

Nope. It's a scam that requires an upfront payment.
