Sorry and suprised to hear about an Apple store closing. Thought they were all successful. Oxnard is one the most beautiful places but maybe not big enough to support an Apple store. I would still think close to the end some bargains are going to happen. I like Best Buy. I have always had fun visits and the people have been cheerful with a few exceptions. The store here in San Jose at Santana Row is a delight. I mean the place is the adult "toy store." Also across the street from an Apple Store at Valley Fair mall with good people.

I now know about the "fire sale" at the end of the month. At the Apple Store in King of Prussia (my first visit!) the sales lady showed me the drawer *full* of refreshed iPods (80 GB for $299, etc., standard refurb pricing). If I can ever make the drive down when they're having the sale, I'll do so. I'm dying to score one of those $69 30GB iPod video-type steals!

The more I look at the price of a MacPro, the more I think a 20" Intel iMac is the way to go, with external drives in a stack behind it. (I currently have 3 hard drives in my G4 DA).
