Hey, I like the Corvair and think it is WAY cooler than that beast. Agreed! Love 'em or hate 'em, second-generation Corvairs are extremely attractive cars.

[quote ztirffritz]Plus it gets better than 20 MPG. What domestic car do you know of from the '60s that could claim that? Ford Falcons (whose thin-wall cast iron six-cylinder engine actually weighed less than the Corvair's aluminum six cylinder, even counting the weight of the radiator), Chevrolet Chevy IIs, various Ramblers, and Plymouth Valiants and Dodge Lancers/Darts with six-cylinder engines.

[quote ztirffritz]Actually...after taking a second look I think you may be right. Agreed again. Smile

One more for the Corvair fans - they even borrowed the ramp idea

Looks like something the Cheney's would use during a Parade. :-)

It reminds me a little of the BBSpot item: "New Ford Exorbitant Comes
With Spare Explorer
"

Looks like a warm weather version of the Tundra Buggy.. http://www.tundrabuggy.com/

The wheelbase is too long for off road unless you put tracks on it.

It's actually a line from a Robert Earl Keen song.

But that line is well within its rights to make him THINK of the BEER RUN song.
