[quote PeterB]Hmmm... if Nimoy and Shatner both give this their thumbs up, then it may not suck or blow as much as I thought it would. Though frankly I'm not thrilled with casting "Sylar" from Heroes as Spock. He's just too weird-looking, IMHO.
Yeah, and Nimoy is real normal-looking.

[quote cbelt3]Wait.. this is going to be an odd numbered Trek movie, right ?
Dang.

The rule is that even numbered Trek movies do not suck.
That rule was broken- nay, shattered- by Nemesis.

How 'bout a technicality? All the even numbered Trek movies were good because only 2, 4, and 6 have an actual number in the title. Though First Contact (8) was OK, especially when compared to Generations (7)...

Nimoy is distinguished-looking. Quinto is just brooding / freaky-looking. Don't look at how Nimoy looks now, look at him when he was doing TOS. He was actually sort of handsome back then, in a somewhat delicate way. (What I mean is, he had very fine features... the more discerning women were totally nuts about him, not Shatner back then.) Quinto looks like he's been on crunch a few too many times.

I type corrected. The title was Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

However, I stand by it pegging my suckometer.

[quote Don Kiyoti]Ugh. Not another crappy Star Trek movie! The whole Trek franchise needs a bullet between the eyes.

Don, you must be kidding. Star Trek is the theme of many, many people's lives. I wont say where I am on that scale, but I must admit I've said, 'make it so' to my subordinates at work many times. Status report is another of my favorites.

Of course, there's always, 'I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer!'

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I'm telepathically beaming a message to your subliminal side...you must like Trek, you must like Trek. ;-)

Peace and long life.

(gotta run...going to put on DS9 7th season now).

No, I am absolutely not kidding. If Star Trek is the theme of someone's life then they deserve pity.
