That's probably the case, AD. Again, just guessing, if there was no "hand-off" or if the police helicopter were already on scene, then there's little to no chance for any enhancement charges.

Taunting a helicopter pilot may be illegal in Florida.

Given that it is illegal to transport Doctor prescribed prescription drugs home from the pharmacy by vehicle in Florida, it wouldn't surprise me they can find a way to blame him rather than the pilot(s) for their error.

It looked like a 10mph getaway to me. I couldn't believe they were actually following what
looked like a Lawn Care chemical truck. Are they going to charge the guy for polluting the
air due to the crash too?

Felony Murder - minimum sentence life in prison. Can be prosecuted in any felony in which someone dies from events. Big in Colorado, not sure about other states.

Lisl Auman was big case here. Convicted of FM of a cop who was shot while she was sitting in a squad car. There was an armed robbery of a grocery store where somebody had a heart attack and died and they were charging the robber.

Colorado lists six underlying crimes -- arson, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, sexual assault, and escape -- that subject people to felony murder charges. People are also subject to felony murder if the death occurs during the "immediate flight" from the underlying crime.

If the person that had a heart attack was there on their on and not putting themselves there
intentionally just to watch the robbery then yes I can see it but the helicopters where there
and didn't really have to be there. They put themselves there intentionally after they crime
spree had already started. Remind me to say away from Colorado, I'm not planning on
committing a crime but give me a break.
