I think U2 is the hottest, continuing band of our times

You guys puking on U2 are olllllllllllllllllllllld!
I have followed them since Wide Awake in America, what was that, 23 years ago...granted, the mid-to-late '90s were a bad experiment, but since then they have gotten their sound back and moved forward. To put Carey in the same category is just blasphemy. Who's your supplier, Keith Richards? I want some of that blow, man, it must be GREAT! She has a LOT of talent, but she is no supergroup. Let's see if she fills stadiums worldwide now, and 25 years from now. That said, I don't know that they should have won all that they did. Aieee! Would have liked to see REM represented as they came back with a strong album (Around the Sun). But they are tired of the limelight now.

if you like Mariah live, she's much better and consistant in rehearsal. but she's an annoying cow.
U2 haven't reached that level of stupidity yet. Still a solid band. Even though Mary J was over the top, I still thought their perf was the best. The Sly thing was weak, top to bottom. Paul also surprised me. He was very strong and give him cred for doing Helter Skelter and what ever that mash-up was with LP and JZ. feh!

I've started listening to some of their older stuff too.
I'm not impressed with Mariah at all, emancipated or otherwise. Loved the Helter Skelter, that stuff with Jay-Z and whoever, not nearly so much. |
