> Giuliani at the RNC...

Could we please just keep pretending the guy doesn't exist. I think the world is better off that way.

[quote samintx][quote Greg the dogsitter]9/11 => McCain
:S.........I'm dense....what do you mean?
A fair question! :-)

Mr. Giuliani said:

"Of great concern to me, during those same four days in Denver, they rarely mentioned the attacks of September 11, 2001. They are in a state of denial about the biggest threat that faces this country. And if you deny it and you don't deal with it, you can't face it." -- http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/09/rudy_giuliani_takes_off_after.html

So, he's somehow connected 9/11 with Obama. Obama rarely mentioned 9/11. Therefore, Obama is in denial about terrorism. And you should therefore vote for McCain.

Simplified: 9/11 => McCain

Of course, this is stupid. Effing stupid. Obama said:

"For while Senator McCain was turning his sights to Iraq just days after 9/11, I stood up and opposed this war, knowing that it would distract us from the real threats we face. When John McCain said we could just "muddle through" in Afghanistan, I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11, and made clear that we must take out Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants if we have them in our sights. John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell - but he won't even go to the cave where he lives." -- http://www.demconvention.com/barack-obama/

So, he didn't "mention" 9/11 - he discussed it, in what I just quoted above and more.

I find Giuliani's "I'm telling you what the other guy said, and that's that terrorism isn't important" as insulting as most dip**** Internet debates.
