How do you Define Patriotism?

WWII? WWI? Armenian Genocide? German Holocaust? How far back can we go? Rwanda, Darfur, Cambodia, Sudan - there are plenty.

That statement is beyond absurd. Do you get all your data on "the left" from Rush and Fox news?

Sounds like something Sarah Palin would say.

This is a dead give away when someone can't answer a question.

Other than WWII, which is going way back, in none of the above was US a party to the conflict. Those are the kinds I am talking about.

Already answered by Wags. What's the point if the original statement is so ridiculous.

Anyway, what's your point? Perhaps the US has been on the wrong side (or not) of all international disputes it was a party to. What does this have to do with right or left? When communication breaks down to the point where military action is instigated, seldom are all parties blameless. Often there are hidden agendas (Iraq being the foremost example of wars that were started due to reasons that the instigators misled the public about). By your standards does it mean you're a patriot if you support 50% (or some other arbitrary number) or more of conflicts, regardless of who is at fault?

Nah, sentence structure is too good.

The real patriots are the civilians giving their time, energy and money to fight back against big government intrusion on our liberties. It take years of work and patience to get a judge to overturn an illegal government action.

Wearing a lapel pin or not, these are the people who protect us from arbitrary government action, interestingly enough these are the same people the right wing so detests.
