There is a Little Caesars (sp?) in town that pays some cat to stand in the LC dude costume. I'm telling you, when I hit that Kevin Spacey moment from American Beauty in life, I'm all over something like this. I in fact may not wait come to think of it.

I have one of these two blocks away. It's really just a big sign they wear, but the degradation comes in in the form of the people wearing the sign apparently being told they need to shake it back and forth the entire time. Plus, they're just sort of doing their thing for passing cars, no real opportunity to interact with anyone . . . they look every bit as depressed by the whole thing as you'd expect.

a radio station in Milwaukee used to have a chicken suited mascot for sporting events and other promotions. i commented to a friend who worked at the station that i felt sorry for the idiot in the chicken suit. she said i shouldn't - he makes $100 every time he feathers up. this was in the late 70s so that was a hefty chunk o change back then. damn - i'd take it now for a few hours work.
