Pull start or key start, sooner or later there will be problems. Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Honda, all them them.

I third this....Have a Scotts with key and a 15? 20? year old Craftsman....both crank on first turn or first pull....BUT....I am anal about the maintenance (my ex-military training). Neighbor got one of those $$$$ Honda self propelled mowers last summer. Saw him last week kicking it...I bet he didn't use Stabill Smile

My 12 year old wouldn't be able to use a pull-start so a key start was the obvious choice. With the safety 'features' that shut it off every time he lets go of the handle the key start was a must.
