Should I choose Aetna to protect my family or ACORN? Aetna, ACORN; Aetna, ACORN;Aetna, ACORN. Damn it is hard.

ACORN is the Halliburton of community organizers.

How many hot turkey dinners with stuffing can they serve at once in the Iraqi dessert?

ACORN is just one of many groups getting taxpayer money for various kinds of "community organizing," almost
always for the political benefit of the Left. Taxpaying Americans are literally being forced to fund the groups who
are working against the interests of taxpaying Americans. It is not enough to stop ACORN. We must stop this
entire practice of giving taxpayer money to political groups. If these Leftists had to fund their own activities, they
wouldn't get anywhere. Facilitating and acting as knowing accomplices to transporting underage girls across national
and state lines for the purpose of prostitution and sexual slavery. Your tax dollars hard at work for the democrat party.

About as many as ANYBODY can if they are allowed to charge Uncle Sam three times what those dinners actually cost.

n a statement, Halliburton said it had temporarily suspended $174m of invoices for meals to the US army in Iraq and Kuwait. The announcement came two weeks after Halliburton agreed to repay $27m for meals served at five military bases last year.

According to a Pentagon email quoted in the Wall Street Journal, in one camp alone last July, KBR billed for an average 42,000 meals a day but served only 14,000. In a seven-month period, alleged overcharging in that camp totalled $16m.

I'm all for stopping ANYONE from giving or accepting money for political purposes. Make 'em pay for their bad political habits out of their own funds.

"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

If only we had politicians of the same caliber these days...

How much would YOU pay for a hot turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy in Al Anbar in the middle of a dust storm? You couldn't serve Thanksgiving dinner to 5 people if you were given a cooked turkey with stuffing in a box from ACME.

How many "swampy doesn't approve of ACORN because they have a tenuous link to a black president" threads do we need? Does anybody here care about this or even have a good understanding of what ACORN is and does? Hey swampy, what fraction of government waste does the entire budget of ACORN represent?...I'd bet that it is negligible.

I hear ACORN wrote Kanye West's VMA (most recent) outburst.
