Why razor blades so popular?
My first guess would be that they are relatively small, yet expensive. Easy to steal and transport to the flea market. Or eBay

Being a girl and all, I don't buy many razor blades, but I have seen a couple of threads where you guys were discussing the price. Whoever suggested 'lifting single edge blades from a hardware store is thinking too much like a non-addict. What druggie with scrambled eggs for brains would go to Lowe's when he can get so many more things on his shopping list from a place like Target? ![]()

Slide show, one item per page, weird. What's the rationale for that kind of formatting? A shameless gimmick to pad hit counts, to mislead potential advertisers? It's dreadful, user-unfriendly, tiresome to navigate. I'm curious what the upside is, why a web engineer, or managing editor, or designer, would be allowed to implement such a layout. It seems more designed to drive viewers away.

Razor blades used a lot by drug addicts
Yeah, no. A credit card works well for most of those people. Even getting my Sensor Excels from Amazon, they're pricey. And the don't last nearly as long as they did a year or two ago. You've heard of the razor/blade, printer/ink business model? As mentioned- small, expensive, pocketable.

definitely not a reference to single edge razor blades for hardware/craft use.
And those are bad choices for drugs anyway unless first cleaned off - the petro/grease on them is unknown. I agree with the credit card theory unless you are talking about multi-kilos - - at which point you get a REALLY BIG credit card!! ![]() :-D No.... it's just the 4 and 5 bladed shaving experience. Though I'll admit they last longer, if they are going to price them as they do, they need to know about NEWTON!!!! I haven't bought any in two years thanks to Newton! Between that and my Panasonic electric.... they (Gillette / Shick ) can BITE ME! (They already cut me sometimes!)

Really, every time my wife grabs my Gillette Sensor double edge by mistake she totally destroys one of my blades when she shaves her legs, maybe it's just "her" legs ;-)
