Poll: (w/o list) What is your shortest lived/mistake Apple purchase?
#21
Apple TV 1st Gen. Replaced quickly with a 2nd Gen in order to gain Netflix, but that might also be classified as a mistake as it's so poor as a photo viewing platform which was very important to me. And I miss the internal HD of the 1st Gen, since shutting down my Mac bricks the 2nd Gen ATV.

Magic Mouse here as well. Though someone on the forum did benefit from my cast off.

- LaserWriter Select 310
- ATI Radeon 1900XT video card for my work 2.66 Xeon Dual-Core to replace the stock GeForce 7300GT.

The hockey puck mouse that came with my G3 B&W.
Sold it to my boss whose daughter needed it, I think to use with a laptop.

Mac IIvx.

Least impressive for the price of any Apple item I've owned.

Same here, I am not impressed with the Apple TV 2 as photo viewing platform.

I miss the internal storage as well. Sometimes it was nice not to need to turn anything on besides my old Apple TV and connected display. Not sure what you mean by "bricks" your current Apple TV? That can't be good.

Original Mac. Mac 512. Mac Classic or Classic II. I could go on, Apple has had plenty of limited computers. Wink

Quicktake 200.
Actually it was great, but it was too big to lug around casually, and the thing sucked batteries dry way too quick... (so thaaat's where the name comes from)

I'm happy I didn't get one of their very expensive printers at the time.

What are you talking about? You could run Mac and Apple II software!

Mac classic. Never truly needed it, since better machines were available on campus. If I'd have put that same $1k into Apple stock instead of Apple product...
