Certainly I realize that, but my point is that early voting is NOT guaranteed to us and people are acting as if it is. It's a perk, so to speak. And I fail to understand why, since everybody and their uncle rushed out to vote early, it can be considered "voter suppression" if it isn't offered on a wide-scale basis. Everyone I know who voted early is a yuppie or a boomer, hardly the oppressed classes.

I'm just asking that we stop turning everything into a BFD. It's obvious that people hate the governor of Florida and want to nail his ass, but can't we be adult about it?

The problem with Rick Scott is that his GOP predecessors made arrangements for voters that he has been unwilling to make. And so far he has given no explanation as to why he won't make those accommodations. That's why it looks political.

Several judges however have overridden the governor's new restrictions, finding them unconstitutional, so people are still casting early votes in Florida now even though the deadline technically passed already.

Of course the amendments were easy as they were all put there by the GOP legislature - just fill in NO (I wish there was a HELL NO choice). I wouldn't approve of anything that bunch of idiots suggest.

The cynic in me suspects that the constitution amendments were all put on the ballot to slow the voting process. Now which party would that benefit ...

that would solve nothing because many businesses would still be open and it would be burdensome to many as a lot of folks don't have paid holidays.
