Depends. I’ve been known to double up on donations one year and then itemize, then take standard the next year.

The tax savings I got that way went back to the donation pot, not for me. Just figured it was a great way to get more money for the great non profits I give to.

This year, will itemize due to rebates from solar panel installation.
