Here's an interesting response to Robertson's remarks. He's a better man than I.

'Response' is not what Robertson needs.
A slap upside the head, maybe.

"True story."

Is Pat Robertson's small band of evangelical extremists a threat to the political left?

Is the Moral Majority now referred to as a "small band of evangelical extremists"?

The radical left needs the radical right to survive, so I don't think so.

But I agree that the Moral Majority was neither.

Pieces are being put together as we speak contrasting Obama's response vs. Bush's response to Katrina. Let's see who will complain then. Putting GWB in the spotlight by asking him to lead the humanitarian effort is designed to let him hang himself.

I think people like Pat Robertson and his minions are a threat to life as we know it.

Moral Majority? I hope moral people are still in the majority in this country. I'm not talking religion. Even an atheist can be "moral". In that sense would you still consider a "moral majority" a bad thing?

I think it may be this, but since someone is opposed to posting links, I am only guessing. Big Grin

"According to multiple sources, Obama last night called George W. Bush and formally asked him to participate, along with Bill Clinton, in humanitarian relief efforts for Haiti -- in the same vein that Bush's father and Clinton did following the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. Bush 43 said he was ready to do whatever was necessary.
