I think that "right side of the aisle" and "left side of the aisle" means conservative and liberal. Right wing and left wing mean the outside edges of those two sides. The extremists.

Then there's the Lunatic Fringe.

There is. But you guys keep assuming I'm someone else. Gets annoying.

You just like to argue. I'm not going to play with you.

P.S. I have NEVER seen you post on a thread with a link to an article to discuss the content of the article. All you do is come onto threads and complain about what people are posting. SO physician, heal thyself.

Don't know who you are referring to, but it's obvious you have childish problems. I'd feel sorry for you but you bring that upon yourself.

My opening statements for all these threads (with the exception of the "This is some dumb shoot" thread) have been fairly neutral and open for discussion. I don't typically come on grandstanding about any hot topic, I'm interested in information, and information from all sides of the spectrum.

Missed that one. I didn't read it initially because I assumed it was about guns (again.) That same topic had just been discussed 24 hours earlier in a thread started by August West, so that's probably why you only got three comments. Not much left to say really.

Sorry but I don't see the few threads you start or the many comments you make as any more or less interesting than anyone else's and certainly not less opinionated.

There are lots of other places to discuss politics, I'm sure you could find one that's more to your liking if you tried.
It's okay to miss things, however, you look foolish by making statements when you don't know what you're talking about.

I certainly don't believe that I have ever posited that I am "less opinionated" than others.

And I don't really have the interest in finding a place where everyone shares the same viewpoint as I do - as it would be too much like this forum is for people like you.

Periodically, these guys have had the entire forum to themselves. It was one big lovefest. Don't believe that they want civilized debate. Some are on record wishing death upon opposing views here.

On top of that, most of the liberals here are not interested in discussion, the interest here is in backslapping, self-congratulation and mutual hatred of opposing parties.

A great indication of this are the thread topics of the past couple of days. I didn't even bother reading the actual content because it's going to be filled with like-minded hatred and narrow thinking.

At times: :agree:

Although it IS very entertaining to see the extreme fringes (of both sides) at work - especially when the posts start out along the lines of:
"given that (insert preconceived notion here) is indisputable fact, how is it possible that (something happened that is in conflict with the preconceived notion) or (someone disagrees with the preconceived notion)?"
