I detest the guy and what he stands for, but goddamn if he isn’t an American patriot and a hero.

My employer never thanked me for just doing my job.

Pence declined joining a criminal conspiracy. I think there are higher standards for hero-dom.

Initially I thought "Well, I'm sure the governor be tripping over himself to make it happen" ....but a quick google search reveals that Trump was mad that the Georgia governor for not assisting his efforts and funded a challenger who failed. What kind of lock does the current governor have on his seat? Kemp can’t run again, as this is his second and final term, so no reason at all for him to pardon The Orange Menace, especially since OM bad mouthed Kemp and worked against him, since Kemp wouldn’t help OM out with his plans to steal GA. ![]() Whippet, Whippet Good

While it's true he was "just doing his job" and "declined joining a criminal conspiracy", you also have to realize that he was probably under tremendous pressure at the time to go along with Dump's directives. No, for sure the guy isn't a saint, but ... had he caved into the pressure from his then-boss and associated cronies, aka the co-co's, we might be in a very different place right now. Also, one can imagine that this is a big part of why his standing is around 1% of the current GOP candidates. So he's definitely paid a price for going against "the boss"... he'd been trying to toe the line, but with Dump (as for most extreme narcissists), you're either with him or against him; there's no in-between.
