Why was the word 'wireless' used all day instead 'Bluetooth'? Are these new ear buds NOT bluetooth? Does this new phone HAVE bluetooth?

I ask because sekker posted this frightening bit of speculation yesterday:

My worst fear is that Apple goes with a new, proprietary wireless protocol and dumps the headphone jack.

But then stops supporting Bluetooth to show how much better Apple Freedom Frequency is. This would mean poorer Bluetooth support for ALL iPhones in future software updates.

If they stop supporting Bluetooth anytime in the near future they can forget me. I have two vehicles that support BT calling.

No headphone jack, no sale!

The headphone jack (i.e. Lightning port) is still there! You're safe!

I use my headphones about 8 hours a day. I don't think any iPhone will run continuously for that long!

According to the presentation, the iPhone 7 will playback wireless audio for 40 hours and the iPhone 7 Plus for 60 hours. I'd imagine if you're using wired earphones you could go even longer. Yep, I think you're good to go!

I missed it - what's the size of the iPhone 7 vs 6? same size, just different casing?

And how THIN is it? This is the most important thing of ALL!
The dimensions of the iPhone 7 are exactly the same as those of the iPhone 6s but the iPhone 7 is lighter (4.87 oz. vs 5.04 oz.).

The iPhone 7 (32 GB) starts at $649.

$649 for the 7 at 32gb. Dang skippy. My tendency would be to buy Nikon or Canon's smallest SLR with a shallow aperture lens before I spent that much on a phone.

Yeah but it's hard to make phone calls with the Nikon or Canon.

Does this new phone HAVE bluetooth?
