The spec they bury is that 1080p video is at 20fps (720p records at 30fps). Gotta make sure there's a reason to buy the 5D Mk II instead. : )

Or the 7D. I'm waiting for that one. After 9 years and 2 rather good P&S digicams and using them in manual mode more and more, I now need the low light capability, dynamic range, accurate metering and dependable focusing of a real DSLR.

Yeah, the crippled it on purpose but I don't think most people buy this camera know or care between 20fps, 24fps or 30fps. They just see 1080p.
