Need a new KB and mouse - recommendations?
#1
My Logitech Cordless MX Duo mouse is experiencing intermittent double-clicks.

I called Logitech, and if I can find the receipt, and it's within 5 years, they will fix/replace the mouse.

If I can't, they will give me 50% off a new set on their web site: Logitech

They recommend the Cordless Desktop Wave.

Any thoughts? Insight? Should I look elsewhere? A different Logitech product?

TIA,

Cary

I would just stay away from the Apple mighty mouse. The side clicks are way too sensitive and while the rollerball on top is handy it seems to stick after a while and it is also too sensitive for some programs to be useful.

That is why I buy Kensington stuff. If it is still under warranty, even if you base it on the build date from the ser#, they cover it. No papers required at all. I've had them send me new mice based on just my word, and the promise to destroy the bad one. And if the item is obsolete, they ask what would make you happy for the replacement.

Logitech offered the same, but the build date is from 2003. I think I bought it more recently...

Sounds like Logitech has stepped up to compete with Kensington on customer service.

I tried to get new "feet" for a Logitech mouse, they said it was a normal wear and tear issue, and just buy a new one. Kensington asked for the ser#, and mailed me a new mouse.
