Dyson is overpriced crap anyway. If it does work, it will chew up your carpet.

Markintosh wrote: This doesn't make sense. Why does Dyson have the warranty on these then? Or is Dyson stupid for trusting Woot to properly refurb these.

Yeah...the whole conversation Mrs Markintosh had with Dyson was kinda surreal. I really don't care. I just want the box out of my living room, a credit on my CC and not have to pay to ship it back.

Spock wrote: Oh, so you can't afford one. Never mind, keep saving. Always the asshole. How do you know what I have or could afford? I have a Miele cannister and it works great. I had a Dyson for about a week, it was crap. My neighbor has a Dyson, it is crap. She borrows my Miele. I like a hepa filter and quality made bags that seal to empty. Bagless cleaners tend to be messy and spew dust around. I don't want to vac dirt, only to spew dust into the air at the same time. It is a matter of opinion and what kind of clean you want. Some people refuse to use a cannister. Dyson did not fit under furniture either. . Miele is better for stairs. The build and design of the German Miele is much nicer than the design and build quality of the Dyson. Kinda like an Apple Computer.

wow sniping over who's got cooler or crappier vacuums-
here's a shot of my vacuum and it's way sexier and has a tremendously smaller carbon footprint than miele and dyson- so there! http://www.moonbattery.com/flintstones-vacuum.GIF

Consumer Reports always puts Dyson towards the bottom of tested models.

Here's Woots response today:
The manufacturer, not Woot, does the quality control of the item. We sell the item based on the presumption that the manufacturer is providing a working and functional item. Therefore your assertion is incorrect. We do state, per our returns policy, that you can contact the manufacturer for support on the item as they should be able to repair or replace the item. Our position with the RMA email provided by XXXXX stands. Bastards. I'll contact my CC company. |
