What is the outrage? That Obama, or any politician, won't take advantage of a disaster for a photo op. Come one. I am not saying he is doing it just for the photo op. This is a manufactured outrage.

Au contraire, I'd say that not a single word of that is true. This shouldn't even be a partisan issue. Any president would have done the same thing, even that failure of a president George W Bush. Nice try but this is not what he said. He simply said OBama is taking advantage of it to put himself out there. He never said he is doing it BECAUSE....Is this the first time politicians tour disaster regions? They do that all the time. If he hadn't done that everyone would say he doesn't understand the politics of it. Just as they said it for Bush. You can't take politics out of what politicians do.

You can't take politics out of what politicians do.
You certainly cannot. Indeed, that's what we pay our politicians to do, to be a visible representation of the people's will. To organize things like relief efforts on our behalf. In a situation like Haiti, any president of the US of any color or gender would be saying and doing exactly the same things.
But rather than just leave it at "that's his job, to say and do things like this when a crisis demands America's attention," old Rush-bo has to go casually mentioning Obama's skin color, every chance he gets. Why?
