Bush, Clinton: Haiti response not about politics
#1
http://apnews.myway.com//article/2010011...JQ1O0.html

Bush said that he doesn't know what critics are talking about when they claim Obama is trying to score political points with a broad response to Haiti's woes. The most vocal critic has been radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who urged people not to donate and said he wouldn't trust that money donated to Haiti through the White House Web site would go to the relief efforts. He said people contribute enough by paying income taxes.

Rush never said do not donate. That is a lie. He said do not let Obama get anywhere near your money(my interpretation), or any branch of the government for that matter. I couldn't agree more. Look what he is doing with "unused" TARP money. Spends it on on anything he wants. Give it to your charity of your choice and to people whose job is these sort of things. The White House has no business collecting money for anything.

When Limbaugh tells his listeners "Besides, we've already donated to Haiti. It's called the US income tax." he is certainly encouraging them not to donate any more money.

The link Limbaugh was referring to took you directly to the American Red Cross website. The White House was not and is not collecting anybody's money.

Could you at least try not to be so wrong?

But then, it wouldn't be like Dakota.

Dakota is absolutly right. Rush did not say don't donate to Haitian Relief.

This is another fake outrage. The same people who constantly say Rush is a fat marginalized extremist who nobody listens to jump on every word he says. Make up your mind. I am sure there is money to be made off of bringing up Rush every day.

lol! That's almost as lame as the "Oral sex is not sex" excuse.

Or the definition of "is" defense.
