I have a theory about Shakeman...
#1
I am starting believe that Shakeman is actually an alter-ego of one, or more, of the entrenched personalities who post here regularly.

As I look at the supposed Shakeman posts, I realize that SM is really a tool that allows the forum "name callers" to vocalize their opinions in a very negative and bullying way.

Is Shakeman a Strawman created by regular posters here as a tool to allow them to exercise their "if you're not with me, you're against me" attitude?

"He" certainly draws abundant ridicule and "he" certainly espouses ideas worthy of ridicule.

Is this really a coincidence or has a forum member, or members, created him to allow entrenched here to use the term moron?

To those of us who've been here for a while it is quite obvious that shakeman is a mentally challenged northern California roofer with a penchant for one-way idealogical communication and a canine rooftop companion with alternative sexual lifestyle tendencies. Why are you so obsessed with the shakeman phenomenon? Shakeman is a fixture of the forum and you are a johnny come lately. If it's between you leaving and the shakeman phenomenon leaving I think you know what the answer is.

The first rule of sock puppetry is not to talk about sock puppetry.

At this point, Shakeman isn't even a person. It's a concept.

You're either on the roof or off the roof.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor

Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor[1]), entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem, is the principle that "entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity" and the conclusion thereof, that the simplest explanation or strategy tends to be the best one.

In science, Occam’s razor is used as a heuristic (rule of thumb) to guide scientists in the development of theoretical models rather than as an arbiter between published models.

So, what is the published model? I put my theoretical model out for review.

I sure hope my johnny completely status doesn't interrupt the usual flow of the Shakeman phenomenon here.
