What do you use blank CDs for these days? I have hundreds, and they seem useless.

Even got the printable kind.... on sale, and while I still do use them in the car, they otherwise are
useless for data, and as soon as I decide to bite the 160GB iPod, they will be completely useless
as a music media holder.

What's a boy to do??

Let me add to the list,

-hard drives you have pulled
-external drives that used to be oh so huge
-memory sticks
-zip disks
- assorted printers, laptops, mice, monitors and desktops

Hang them in your cherry trees to drive away hungry birds.

Well... I'm comparing the ease of doing everything that everyone has suggested with the tried and true
bulk of a standard 4.7 DVD (rather than a Dual Layer, which has some extra dye issues that I would be
hesitant to put "gold standard" back-ups on - instead of just using 2 standard DVDs).

So let me compare that to the ease of 100 (470GB) Verbatim silver DVDs at Buy.com today, for $19.95.

NOW what say ye?

Yes.... it is cool, to make the backups of the Beatles CD and scan the actual CD and print it to the CD
(most of my CDs are either lightscribe or about 400 of them are printable to the center and I have two epsons
that print CDs) --- but once you do a dozen CDs....... it's kind of "Yawn."

Blooz.... are you suggesting a "Rage Against the Machine" disc to help with Road Rage days?

Cut in just the right shape, they'd make better Lady Gaga throwing stars.

It's something I've yet to consider, but will keep it in mind since you were the first to ask.

My printables are HP brand (made by... ?) but I've had no verification problems with the 20-30 I've made.
I seem to be using them more for making a mix for my mother or something - put a cool label on it, only
to discover a year later that despite the boom box on her dresser, she still hasn't listened to any of them.

I thought for sure, when I bought the various Duets CDs that she would like them as much or more when
I cherry picked from a few of them (Frank, Ray Charles, etc.).
